Sexist Justice is an Accessory to Rape
Dane County (Madison, WI) Judge Archie E. Simonson decided that a rapist should go free because the woman assaulted was dressed “provocatively.” That translates into “she was asking for it.” This wasn’t the only instance of “sexist justice,” but it hit the news and we felt we had to respond.
The judge was recalled in early September, 1977.
